Many communities often need some support to jumpstart the placemaking process. The Placemaking Tool Kit + Best Practices included the following resources.

• Common placemaking products with images

• Product costs

• Examples of placemaking project with cost ranges

• Budget templates

• Grants for placemaking, public art, and open space.

The toolkit was shared with Great Neighborhood communities working with the Massachusetts Smart Growth Alliance. To promote the resources, a series of small events and conversations were had with many communities about how to plan, design, and implement placemaking and public art projects in their communities.
